  The following examples are accurate examples of the fuel economy you can expect with some Subaru powered VW conversions:

  • 1999 Subaru DOHC AVCS EJ25 N/A Powered T25 / T3 / Vanagon Syncro 14”:
      2.5 litre, 160 bhp, urban / rural driving only, with no motorway journeys      23 mpg
                    motorways / dual carriageways, at 70mph              27 mpg
                    very busy 300 mile journey, often crawling in queue’s     23 mpg
     
  • 1990 - 1994 Subaru SOHC EJ22 N/A Powered T25 / T3 / Vanagon (2WD):
      2.2 litre, 135 bhp,                                      average 27 mpg
                                                  motorway driving 30 mpg
