RJES Type 25 Engine Mount Crossmembers are a bolt on installation,requiring just one hole has to be drilled in each chassi rail. They pick up on the standard Subaru rubber mounts, joining them to the chassis rails with a square tube cross member. Different types are available for 2WD and Syncro models, to suit the different engine positions in each.
  The mounts are fabricated from laser cut mild steel in a fixture to ensure consistant shape, and plated with 8 microns of zinc and clear passivated. Note that while this is a high specification zinc plating, it is not as good as the specialised finishes used under modern cars. However, it can be overpainted or powdercoated (unlike zinc with a yellow passivation) to improve corrosion resistance.
